Remember those Romantic Places

Submitted by admin on May 20, 2008 – 9:38 amNo Comment

There are certain moments in life that a person wants to always remember. For some it is when they became engaged or perhaps their actual wedding day.

Every small detail about those days will be held in their minds forever. Celebrating these occasions in a special setting adds to the tone of the entire event. Engagements or weddings set in romantic places are a lovely way to make the day even more special.

The typical notable locations for events like this are usually in the tropics. Many people dream of getting married on the beach. With the sand, the sun and the breeze these are some of the most romantic places on earth. They can also be incredibly expensive so for a bride and groom who want to experience a beach front wedding, they might consider doing so in a place more local and affordable. California, Hawaii and even New Jersey all sport beautiful beaches that can make ideal spots for celebrations. Once you have cleared your event with the local planning office, you will be able to get married barefoot in the sand for a lot less than you could have.

Majestic mountains also make a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony. The images alone of the bride and the groom with the snowy peaks showing in the distance are breathtaking. Flying to some of the most romantic places with Alps on the planet can really eat up the wedding budget.

If you don’t have the money needed to go there but you want to experience a mountain wedding, think about doing it in the Rockies. There are many locations in Colorado that are perfect for a ceremony like this. The same is true of the Canadian Rockies in places like Jasper or Banff, Alberta. You can certainly have the feel and look of this type of setting without breaking the bank by jetting off to Switzerland or Austria.

If you’d prefer to do a more local event chances are that there are many viable choices right where you live. Parks, museums and even backyards can be very romantic places. If you know someone who has a large backyard with beautiful landscaping itís worth asking whether you can hold the ceremony there.

Many people are more than happy to be blessed with the joy that comes in hosting a wedding. With some extra flowers, ribbons and a gazebo, the yard is instantly transformed into a wedding wonderland just for the bride and groom.

You don’t have to spend a small fortune to fly around the world to find a place to celebrate your wedding. Look for local romantic places, invite everyone you love and make it a true once-in-a-lifetime event.
