Bespoke Events London are renowned for their fresh approach to Wedding Design  & Planning. Bespoke’s’  Creative Director gives 5 Star Weddings five top design tips when planning your  wedding.

1. Don’t be afraid of choosing bold colours for your wedding scheme. All-white weddings can look stunning but a wedding a little more saturated in colour always gets a “wow” from your guests.

2. Floral displays are not always just about flowers…Whilst classic floral displays always look fabulous on a large scale we like to use materials other than just flowers to create fabulous centrepieces for wedding table centrepieces. Perhaps consider weathered copper birdcages and natural moss for a Vintage Country Garden Look, or Crystal Clear Perspex, Coils of Fine Silver Wire and Polished Mirror for a more contemporary look. All of these materials can be used instead of standard green foliage to “fill out” your displays and make them look more original and larger than the sum of their parts.

3. Be Theatrical: Events are all about transporting your guests into an environment that they would not normally experience in day-to day life. Many brides “play it safe” and opt for a classic wedding because classic is a hard thing to get completely wrong. Our view is take the risk. EVERYONE has seen a classic wedding, but for the same budget and with a little more creativity you could opt for something totally original and unexpected. It is the unexpected that will keep you and your guests talking about your wedding for years to come.

4. It’s ALL in the detail right? Not Necessarily! Whilst detail is important to keep your guests engaged throughout the evening it is even more important to create a strong first impression. I like to use giant wrought iron flame torches, ultra-bright exterior lighting and lavish floral displays to mark the entrance to our weddings. If you want to play it a little more understated then why not create a fabulously original, themed escort table display in the reception to help engage your guests and create anticipation of what is yet to come.

5. Create “zones” to your wedding reception: Dining tables and chairs are the obvious essential for any seated dinner, but why not use different styles of furniture to create break-out areas? Consider perhaps an area with a cocktail bar, bar stools and poseur tables where guests can break away from their tables after dinner and socialise with each other. For a more comfort-driven approach, a chillout lounge with funky sofas, ottomans and low tables is always a welcomed addition for guests wishing to take a break from the dance floor. All of these areas can of course be positioned in sections of the same room as your dining tables and dance floor, so there is no need to worry about the party feeling disjointed or broken apart over multiple rooms.
