Sweet thoughts on your favors.

If you decide to have favors are in bags, boxes, or pouches, be creative. Given a little time and effort you can always hand craft your presentation. Make bags or pouches from felt or ribbon, or use opulent velvets and tassels. Little boxes lined with coloured paper are charming containers for cookies or chocolates and can be made months in advance. Make sure that your gift contains a message somewhere, for example a hand written luggage label or a little card. Or putting it in an unexpected place the inside fortune cookie, or printed on the inside of the wrapping paper.

If the favors are all arranged together make sure your guests know to take one home. Place a handwritten card among them with a few words like for you or please enjoy. Alternatively bridesmaids can hand out the favors from decorative baskets.

Here are some of my favorite favors:

Little luxury cookies are a perfect present if presented well. Or even novelty cookies into cellophane bags.

If you decide to go with the traditional almonds, why not put them into tiny boxes decorated with silk flowers, rather than tying them up in tulle.

Give each guest a bulb planted in a small terracotta pot or small aluminum tin, or even in a glass filled with pebbles.

Scented candles are unusual containers are a lovely gift. You could even make your own using shells or empty coconut halves.

A lottery ticket is becoming very popular, you can put one in an envelope with some confetti and a personal note form the bride and groom.

Plant little grasses in cacti in miniature buckets or pots.

Tiny pots of honey symbolize a sweet and fruitful marriage, why note try rather different honey that no one has had before like thyme or lavender.

You can also make or buy some gorgeous soaps and present them in little pouches tied with pretty ribbon.

As you can see, there are plenty of ideas for wedding favours, just be creative and have fun choosing what you have decided.

The Wedding Ceremony

Though some of the traditional wedding ceremony is still being used in many weddings, there are new customs and traditions that are being invented to suit the new way people are relating and even meeting. The world has changed very much since weddings became what they are, and this means the those ceremonies have to change with the times. Though there are some who stick to the traditional wedding in every way, many are making adjustments, whether they are large or small, to fit what they think a marriage should be.

One common change to the wedding ceremony is to change the vows. When I married, our minister gave us a selection of vows from which to choose, and also told us that we were welcome to read our own if we wished. Since we both thought we would not like to read ours, even though it would be neat to write them, we decided to go with some traditional vows. We did, however, made some modifications. Our first modification to the vows was that the word ëobeyí would not be included. The thought of obeying each other was funny to each of us.

Some people are altering their wedding ceremony to include any children that may be involved. Some have their children in the wedding as flower girls, bridesmaids, ushers, or groomsmen. Others turn their wedding ceremony into a family union ceremony. This is always a brilliant idea, as the children feel that they are being joined in the new family and they feel important and loved. Though not everyone chooses to do this for various reasons, it is becoming more popular.

The basics of any wedding ceremony remain the same however. Most couples make vows and exchange rings with each other. Other than that, what a couple wants to do is up to them. Come faiths will not allow such changes, but many will. The ceremony should reflect the life of the couple, and should be something they will cherish forever. The wedding ceremony should not be built to please the guests, but rather to please the couple. However, it is always a nice touch to keep the guests comfort in mind while planning. They will love you for it. Though people are always honored to be invited to a wedding, some brides and grooms donít think about them while planning, they sometimes they end up having a very miserable time due to long length of ceremony or time between ceremony and reception.

Almost all women enjoy looking their best. They will go out of their way to purchase new cosmetic items that promise to make them look movie star great. It does not just take expensive mascara, foundation or eye shadow to create the perfect look. A woman also needs a solid set of beauty make up tips to ensure she applies everything exactly the right way.

One of the most common mistakes that women make when it comes to their beauty regime is the color they choose for their foundation. Itís often too dark which results in a noticeable line along the jaw and the side of the face. A great beauty make up tip is to purchase a foundation during the day, and first try it on a spot on your face. Then look in a mirror both while you are in the store and then outside. This will give you a good indication of how close a match it is.

Eye shadow color is another area where women often make an error. There is a strong misconception that any shade of blue shadow is a no-no. If you have blue eyes though, a beauty make up tip that will highlight them is to apply a thin line of dark blue shadow along the lower and upper lashes. This enhances your eye color and makes them really pop. Another related beauty make up idea is to use dark blue mascara. Again, this really works best if you have blue eyes.

For brown eyes there are a couple of good choices when it comes to what to use. The colors that work best are shades of brown and pink. One beauty make up tip that applies to brown eyes is to try chocolate brown mascara. It is slightly different than black and can produce a much warmer look when matched with a tan colored shadow.

Lipstick seems to be one area that most women struggle with. With all the shades available it can be almost impossible to find one that matches your own natural skin tones. A perfect beauty make up tip when it comes to lipstick is to experiment. This doesnít mean going out and buying twenty different lipsticks and giving them a try. Instead it means going to the cosmetic counter and using the tester on your wrist. This beauty make up tip helps in that you can clearly see the color against your skin tone. Bright red lipstick is an entirely different story and best saved for women who want a very strong look.

Experimenting is one of the best ways to find what products and colors are best for you. When you find a color that you think looks great on you ask a close friend what she thinks. Although this beauty make up tip can result in her gently telling you to try something else, youíll know what works and what doesnít before you venture out in public.

There are certain moments in life that a person wants to always remember. For some it is when they became engaged or perhaps their actual wedding day.

Every small detail about those days will be held in their minds forever. Celebrating these occasions in a special setting adds to the tone of the entire event. Engagements or weddings set in romantic places are a lovely way to make the day even more special.

The typical notable locations for events like this are usually in the tropics. Many people dream of getting married on the beach. With the sand, the sun and the breeze these are some of the most romantic places on earth. They can also be incredibly expensive so for a bride and groom who want to experience a beach front wedding, they might consider doing so in a place more local and affordable. California, Hawaii and even New Jersey all sport beautiful beaches that can make ideal spots for celebrations. Once you have cleared your event with the local planning office, you will be able to get married barefoot in the sand for a lot less than you could have.

Majestic mountains also make a beautiful backdrop for a wedding ceremony. The images alone of the bride and the groom with the snowy peaks showing in the distance are breathtaking. Flying to some of the most romantic places with Alps on the planet can really eat up the wedding budget.

If you don’t have the money needed to go there but you want to experience a mountain wedding, think about doing it in the Rockies. There are many locations in Colorado that are perfect for a ceremony like this. The same is true of the Canadian Rockies in places like Jasper or Banff, Alberta. You can certainly have the feel and look of this type of setting without breaking the bank by jetting off to Switzerland or Austria.

If you’d prefer to do a more local event chances are that there are many viable choices right where you live. Parks, museums and even backyards can be very romantic places. If you know someone who has a large backyard with beautiful landscaping itís worth asking whether you can hold the ceremony there.

Many people are more than happy to be blessed with the joy that comes in hosting a wedding. With some extra flowers, ribbons and a gazebo, the yard is instantly transformed into a wedding wonderland just for the bride and groom.

You don’t have to spend a small fortune to fly around the world to find a place to celebrate your wedding. Look for local romantic places, invite everyone you love and make it a true once-in-a-lifetime event.

Here comes the bride, here comes the bride! Nearly every woman on this planet dreams about her wedding day, or at least that’s what they say. And I’m sure a few men out there fancy that wonderful occasion of unity as well. One thing is for sure, once you announce that engagement, everyone you know will have some sort of wedding ideas to offer. I’m not saying they’ll be good or bad. Most likely you’ll receive some of both. The most important thing here is to NOT lose sight of what you really want.

When I announced to my family that I was engaged to my girlfriend of 5 years, every relative tossed me their two cents. “Oh, you should have your wedding in a large church. Maybe you and your fiance would like a destination wedding. You should have the reception at this particular venue, bla bla bla.” The list went on and on. After entertaining infinite wedding ideas from relatives, my side and her side, my bride-to-be and I sat down for a little chat. We were determined to do this thing our way, and our way only. When it comes down to it, the wedding and honeymoon is for you, the couple, not your family and friends. Sure, they can come and join in on the celebration, but on your terms. Makes perfect sense to me.

Now, not every couple is flooded with awesome wedding ideas and honeymoon spots from their friends and family. Some may even have some difficulty deciding on a venue for the ceremony. Well, let me offer some valuable information. Imagine the places you and your fiance love and dream about.

Consider the locations you’ve always wanted to visit. Do you want a large wedding, or would you really prefer a private ceremony? The truth is when you decide to tie the knot with someone special, there shouldn’t be any stress and chaos involved. You shouldn’t be getting angry at caterers or bride’s maids. This is a day of celebration. It’s often ruined by lame and miniscule issues that hardly matter when looking at the big picture. I just wanted to offer this wedding advice to any who’ve yet to be wed. When it comes to wedding ideas, the most important is to do what you as a couple prefer. It’s not called YOUR special day for nothing.

A wedding gown is often one of the most expensive aspects of the day itself. Every bride has a vision of what she wants her dress to look like. She may have even planned it for years. Many brides spend hours in the months before their wedding leafing through wedding magazines. These are often filled with designer wedding dresses which are luxurious and elegant. They are also incredibly expensive, and for a bride who wants the look without the price tag, there are ways to accomplish it.

Every year new dresses are introduced. Each designer of gowns works hard to present a new selection of original creations year after year. For a bride who is interested in designer wedding dresses she is likely to know what’s new and what’s not. Chances are no one else at the wedding will. For this reason it’s often possible to find a dress from last year’s collection at a fraction of the cost of the new designs. The bride will still look just as stunning, she’ll be wearing a designer label, and she’ll also have more money left to spend on other things.

Typically a few months before the wedding, the bride, her mother, the attendants and a bunch of friends make the rounds at the local bridal boutiques. Itís here that all the females in the bride’s life get their first glimpse of her in her wedding gown. Many women fall in love with the first dress they try on. This is natural as almost every wedding dress looks beautiful. However, it is important to try on many so you can be sure that you’ve found the ideal dress for you. Ask the salesperson to choose both designer wedding dresses and more inexpensive versions so you can have a variety.

Another common occurrence during this traditional wedding dress shopping outing is everyone having a different opinion on what looks best. Many brides want to step away from the stuffy look of a high collar with long sleeves and a train. Instead they tend to find designer wedding dresses that are strapless and off the shoulder more appealing. At the end of the day, the only opinion that really counts is the bride’s. Since it is her wedding day and hopefully it’s a once in a lifetime occurrence, she must choose the dress she falls in love with. After all, she’ll be looking at herself in wedding pictures for years and years to come, so she needs to be happy with her choice.

Once the dress has been chosen and paid for, it will likely need to be altered before the big day. Even designer wedding dresses need a bit of tucking and pulling here and there to make them a perfect fit. Itís advisable to visit the seamstress a month before the wedding and then again a week before for a final fitting. This ensures that on the big day, the dress fits like a glove.

Black and white wedding photography has been a formidable force in the artistic realm for many years. If you have an eye for detail you have a distinct appreciation for black and white photography then seeking a person who can capture your wedding day in Black and White is not an easy person to find.

Many wedding photographers consider this approach to taking pictures to be extremely challenging. It takes a talented eye to focus on the right subjects for black and white photography. Even though the process takes some considerable talent, many people embrace this form of photographic endeavor as the image-taking strategy of choice.

Perhaps the biggest draw to this kind of photograph is its appeal to raw emotion. Black and white wedding photography manages to create the stark contrasts between light and dark that seems to get lost in different shades of color. The subtle grey tones introduce different degrees of depth and interest but the polar opposites of black and white are always in force in these compositions.

The subject never gets lost in the emotions evoked through colors. Black and white wedding[ad#co-2]photography strips away the feelings commonly associated with certain hues. The focus is on the image, not on the colors in the composition. Stripping away the color is a process that forces the onlooker to take in the image as it is in form, not as it is in color.

For this reason, some believe that black and white photography reaches an emotional depth that is lost when the confusion of color comes into play. We are not so much taken back by the subject with green eyes and auburn hair. We are taken in by her expressive eyes and the texture of her hair.

This is a whole new way of looking at things. We love color and we commonly describe things in terms of their hues. Consider just about any descriptive narrative that you have heard. Most will describe the colors and forms rather than the texture and emotive forces within the image. That is, unless the subject is black and white photography.

If you really want to create a composition that offers great interest that goes beyond the glow, you may want to embrace black and white photography. There are a plethora of black and white photography supplies available online and there are many beautifully moving pictures as well

Anemone represents unfading love and a ray of colours including brilliant reds, pinks and purples, while daffodils range from yellows to whites and are great for center Pieces.

Ideal for summer months are forget-me-not and Stephantis. Small blue flowers with short stems, representing true love. Forget-me knots are great for filling bouquets with colour while Stephantis are white, waxy flowers that make excellent button holes. Chrysanthemums are colourful daisy like blooms that come in a range of sixes. The lime green satin variety is perfect for complimenting bright bouquet.
This autumn is all about the vintage look; faded pinks are really in this season and create a really stunning look. The pink illusion Rose looks amazing in bouquets. For a mellow autumn wedding you could go for Gladiolus that come in a warm, soft peach colour or a bright exotic bird of paradise for a more dramatic look. Arcacia re tiny little yellow flowers that represent friendship and secret passion.

Winter

For those who are having a winter wedding. Holly berries, snowdrop and deep red roses add a touch of winter glamor to bouquets or arrangements lilac has a wonderful scent and brightens up centerpieces while red poinsettia go wonderful with mixed Tulips and roses. During winter there is often less choice when it comes to flowers but mixtures of foliage and berries look great and create a real winter wedding!
