We will be hosting our Spring Open Weekend on the Easter weekend – Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th at Turton Tower, Bolton.

A wedding in a tipi dressed just as you want, complete with fire pit and fairy lights really do create a venue like no other. With a motto ‘making dreams into memories’, Big Chief Tipis have years of experience and they know that your wedding day means everything to you and you want it to be as magical as possible.
“Tipis are extremely popular, especially for the boho bride who loves the outdoors. That said, we have also found that a lot of brides whose brother or sister may of got married in a marquee on their family estate, are turning to tipis to be just that little bit different.” Explains Hayley Harthern, of family-run Big Chief Tipis.
Tipis provide the very best of both worlds. They are perfect for weddings all year round as the sides can be lifted while the sun shines for everyone to enjoy the weather and the views, or they can be lowered to protect guests from the elements with a fire to create a magical, cosy atmosphere.
If your wedding is an intimate affair a single tipi can be used or they can be interlinked to create an incredible space to accommodate in excess of 500 guests.
Big Chief Tipis have three different sizes of tipis – the Big Hat which can be used on its own or interlinked, the Midi Tipi which can be added to create extra chill-out or bar space and a Baby Tipi, perfect for a children’s party or a dinner party in the garden.
The team of Little Chiefs will erect your tipi ready to be dressed for the wedding – and to top it all, Big Chief Tipis have a fabulous collection of accessories to complete your look.
The Big Chief accessories collection consists of a variety of loved necessities from classic white clothed tables and limewash chairs, an entrance walkway or if you prefer a more relaxed affair; wooden tables and benches, and twinkling lights.
Big Chief Tipis also deal with the practical side of things too, providing catering tents, dance floor, heaters, generators and toilets and they have 24/7 call-out service with back-up tents. The Little Chiefs and vehicles are prepared for every eventuality.
Big Chief Tipis can be seen at numerous open days, wedding fairs and events across the country. A team of Little Chiefs will be at Turton Tower this spring, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th March.
