Real Wedding – Cool and Colourful Culture Smash in California

The Couple

Thao and Bryan, from California, married in a vibrant multicultural wedding in September 2014. From a traditional Vietnamese-Catholic ceremony, where Thao looked stunning in traditional eastern bridal red, to an equally colourful western reception – this is a wedding album you just have to see…

The Ceremony

Red silk, glowing sunflowers, balloons, and delectable fruit platters created an enchanting and joyful setting for Thao and Bryan’s traditional service, at Our Lady of La Vang Catholic church in Santa Ana.

The Dress (etc)

Changing out of her glorious red ensemble, Thao looked every inch the elegant bride in a strapless, flowing white gown and veil for the second half of the day. Continuing the flashes of amazing colour, her bridesmaids wore bright, cobalt blue. Bryan changed his tie, from subdued black to bridesmaid blue, but had his stylish tailoring accented with a single white orchid buttonhole.

The Reception

The modern and luxe Hyatt Regency Hotel in Orange County was the venue for the newlyweds’ culture smash reception! East and West met with great success in an elegant but fun party to celebrate Thao and Bryan’s nuptials. Outside, the sun shone on enormous, stately palm trees, while inside little paper palms provided place settings for the lucky guests who went on to enjoy an east-meets-west feast. There were so many magical features taken care of for the evening, from the perfect mood lighting, the most stunning orchids, and a wonderful projection onto the dance floor of Thao and Bryan’s names.
