Amansala, the Eco-Chic Resort and home of the renowned ‘Bikini Bootcamp’, announces the January launch of their ‘lux little sister’ hotel ‘Amansala Chica’ a short stroll down the beach in Tulum, Mexico.
Melissa Perlman who launched the original Amansala concept in 2002, saw Chica as a chance to design a more upscale version, with a cool concrete finish. The 20 room boutique hotel offers suites with some of the best views in Tulum, combining a luxurious feel whilst still working with natural materials, such as driftwood and the resulting organic imperfections within the building.
The Chica concept builds on Amansala’s ethos of being THE place to go for a simultaneously healthy & stylish holiday with a purpose. It will also host a newly created 5 day ‘Destination Detox’ cleansing programme (outlined below), and has roof top massage rooms overlooking the sea.
2 hours from bustling Cancún, the resort is based in the laid back pueblo of Tulum – famous for its´ Mayan ruins and since launching the original ‘Bikini Bootcamp’ program in 2002, has quickly attracted the New York fashion & celebrity crowd, including; Jade Jagger, Cindy Crawford, Sienna Miller, Charleze Theron and Linda Evangelista.
Chica will feature a Mexican-influenced fresh, light and healthy menu including: Ceviche, Gazpacho and a Taco bar – including homemade stone ground tortillas or lettuce tacos and filled with either fresh fish, chicken all accompanied by Chaya and Pina the signature house drink.
