Colour palette: Pure white

Thanks to Billy Idol, “It’s a nice day for a white wedding…” trips smoothly off the tongue whenever a white wedding colour palette is mentioned! But a white colour palette can be a beautiful way to theme your day. Elegant and crisp for a winter wedding, or bursting with white floral fragrance for a summer wedding, a white palette is versatile and full of potential.

Flowers and fashion

White flowers are a gorgeous choice, with roses, peonies, lilies, magnolia and dahlias all creating striking displays. A single colour means that huge arrangements make a real impact, with abundant blooms creating pure luxury. A white wedding dress is a timeless classic. But if you’re going for a white colour palette, how about your dress being to only pop of colour in the day? Or have you thought about dressing the bridal party completely in white? A statement look is brave, but spectacular!

Design and décor

Think twinkling white lights and white pillar candles, white table linens and pure white stationery. A chic white palette gives you scope to use intricate papercut designs to add detail, and crystals for a hint of sparkle. Different fabrics add texture, so incorporate chiffon, and silks for a luxury feel, or simple cotton and linen for a boho or vintage theme. I love the idea of using soft white fleece and snuggly blankets for a winter wedding with an outside element.
