Wedding Gift ListThe Dorchester’s Crystal Suite was glistening with more than just the room’s crystal chandeliers as interior designers, fabric house representatives, brides, grooms and wedding industry professionals toasted to the launch of Beyond Weddings.
Beyond Weddings was created by London based interior designer Chelsea Bidwill to provide a gift service to fill a creative space in the wedding list market. By the time couples get married, many have the practical day-to-day necessities, so Chelsea wanted to give couples the chance to create an eclectic and personal wedding list reflecting a discerning design, driven by individual tastes and incorporating existing treasures.
On Monday February 15 The Dorchester hosted the launch party for Beyond Weddings. The event celebrated the marrying of interiors and weddings by showcasing some of Bidwill’s favourite suppliers to provide a taste of what is available on a Beyond Weddings gift list.
‘I work with the couple to create an interior design focused list which reflects their distinctive aesthetic: from cushions to chandeliers, furniture to flooring, tables to tiles, all of which can be commissioned as bespoke. Home is where the heart is.’ Bidwill explains.

full scale mood board representing what can be achieved by my new service as an alternative to traditional gift lists’ she says.
launch partyThe Beyond Weddings gift list service offers three bespoke interior design services, all the creations of head designer Chelsea Bidwill. She will meet you to discuss what you feel your home needs and will work with you to create a gift list to which your guests can contribute.
The first service Pick and Mix, is essentially a personal shopping service to choose fabulous objects for wedding lists (including those already set up with other registries) by selecting pieces which complement their interior and make it a home. Service two Well Dressed is a decoration service which reflects a distinctive aesthetic for their home, from cushions to chandeliers, faucets to flooring, tables to tiles, all of which can be commissioned as bespoke. The third service offered by Beyond Weddings is
called Top to Toe and involves complete interior design to conceive a blueprint for an entirely new home, interior transformation, moving walls, adding windows or floors, with guests contributing to costs of the refurbishment.
Using her design expertise Bidwill helps couples select delicious finishes and characteristic collectables to transform their space into a true home in which they can start their future together.
