Enter the wondrous world of Karen Tran with The Floral Experience

From Venice to Brisbane, world class florist Karen Tran is taking her masterclass, The Floral Experience, around the globe. The result? An opulent and magical floral roadshow.

Florist Karen Tran has been cultivating a reputation as one of the world’s best floral designers since she first helped a friend with her wedding flowers, more than 20 years ago. Since those simple beginnings, she has built a business for wedding florals that now spans the globe, and she works with some of the best people in the wedding industry, including The Savoy’s resident planner, Bruce Russell. We are constantly amazed by Karen’s creations (and you will be too, when you cast your eye over the gallery below) that she carefully crafts for brides in the most beautiful wedding locations; beaches, gardens, and 5 star hotels.

Karen Tran The Floral ExperienceIn more recent years, however, Karen has branched into full blown event transformation, and is bringing her expertise to leagues of florists and planners, from San Diego to London to Bali to Brisbane, in her Floral Experience masterclass. Last month saw the spectacular Venice class; three days of teaching, planning, and creating which culminated in a glamorous mask ball – of course, because when in Venice…

Being social media savvy, Karen ensured there was plenty to feast our eyes on from this Venetian extravaganza, including an atmospheric video of the three day gala. Taking place at the palatial Hotel Ca Sagredo in Venice, and featuring the elegant flourishes of WED Couture and gowns by Atelier Emé, to name just a few of the talents involved in the masterclass.

Next stop: Brisbane

At the end of this month, November 30th – December 1st, Karen will be taking The Floral Experience to the antipodes for the first time, touching down in Brisbane at the height of Australian summer to the Hillstone St. Lucia hotel. The two day course culminates in creating a Karen Tran wedding, described on Karen’s site as comprising “an ‘over the top’ floral piece using luxurious linens, fine china, custom stationery and fresh flowers to produce an opulent table setting.  We will return to this spectacular setting to dine with new industry friends for a spectacular and elegant Gala dinner”. We cannot wait to see what magic Karen weaves, downunder…
