This makeup advice follows on from the skin preparations in the previous guide for flawless skin. Here’s some great makeup buys for the luxury bride to buy over the counter or online.
1. Finding Concealers, Foundations and Powders
Concealers for blemishes, dark circles, redness and high colour.
It’s best to select a liquid concealer that’s slightly lighter than your liquid foundation as it will offer a natural finish and perfectly blend in with your make-up.

2. Liquid Foundations
Liquid foundations are better for the consumer as it’s easiest to add with your fingers over your primer.

3. Face Powders
Modern foundations are long lasting and need little powder to set your base. My advice is to stick to a lightweight translucent compact powder that suits all skin tones and really easy to apply with a brush by softly sweeping over the face without sinking into the fine lines and looking dry. Here’s some good investments that you will continue use Chantecaille’s Hd Perfecting powder, Laura Mercier Invisible Pressed Setting Powder, and Suqqu Smoothing Face Color.
4. Mascaras, Brows, Eyes, Cheeks and Lips.

Suqqu eyelash curlers will curl the straightest of lashes and Top Mascara’s that are long lasting and waterproof Lancome’s new Grandiose mascara, Clinique’s New Lash Power Feathering Mascara and Givenchy’s Phenomen eyes wand offers an absolutely full effect.

5. Eye Liners

6. Eye Shadows

7. Blushers
Blushers should be simple by first applying a soft gel or cream product on the apple of the cheeks and then using a powder blusher to softly sweep over to the temple and the eyes for an extra dimension, try these gel and pencil textures, By Terry Cellularose Blush Glace gives a radiant natural effect over the cheeks, Clinique’s new Chubby Stick Cheek Colour easy to apply with a brush or fingers and offers a smooth soft natural finish.
To lightly brush over with soft colour powders try Giorgio Armani sheer powder blush who’s colours are a delight and offer a soft subtle finish, Givenchy Prism compacts are very useful to use all year round.
8 Highlighter Powders
Hour Glass Ambient Lighting Palette to sweep over the cheeks and decollage with a soft brush, NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Powder and Chanel’s Camelia De Plumes Highlighting powder.
9. Lip Colours Glosses and Pencils
Origins Pinch Your Cheeks make a great lip stain, topped with a fabulous Dior Addict maximizer lip gloss, Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Gloss adds a beautiful iridescent shine, Bobbi Brown’s easy to carry glosses, and Burts Bees extensive lip stains and glosses. 10. Nails For The Total Finished Look
