Parfums de Marly revives the spirit of lavish receptions and celebrations held in the Chateau de Marly, for the delight of members of the Royal Court and foreign dignitaries. Through its original concept, Parfums de Marly rekindles the spirit of fragrances from the splendour of the 18th Century, when the finest perfumes were created for King Louis XV, as a tribute to the prestigious horse races he admired. The Hamdani, often considered as the symbol of power and beauty, was thought to be a pure and athletic horse. The fragrance is beautiful, oriental and woody for both women and men. Top notes are myrrh and olibanum; middle notes are guaiac wood, honey and cloves; base notes are benzoin, leather, papyrus, sandalwood, styrax and tobacco.
