Internationally renowned designer Caroline Castigliano launched her exquisite 2011/12 bridal and evening wear collection to great acclaim at the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park London on Thursday, 20th January. Two hundred guests filled the grand ballroom to celebrate the unveiling in a spectacular catwalk extravaganza. Guests were treated to champagne and canapés as they eagerly waited to see the exciting new collection.
Upon arrival, guests were inspired by stunning diamond jewellery from De Beers, beautiful bridal stationary by Smythson, chic designer shoes by Aruna Seth and ornate floral displays by Moyses Stevens. Top beauty specialists from Christian Dior and Paul Edmonds were on hand to give expert beauty advice. The show opened with Caroline Castigliano’s stunning designer evening gowns.
There was an array of navy with black, gorgeous nudes and statement dress in greens and purple. Models then gracefully glided down the catwalk in romantic bridal gowns of soft tulle and lace, followed by Castigliano’s striking signature pieces with structured fishtail and statement organza gowns. Caroline Castigliano says: “Every bride deserves to look and feel her most beautiful on her wedding day, and the 2011/12 collection is designed to do just that. Soft organza and satin georgette give this collection an expression of understated feminine glamour. “For the evening wear collection,
I wanted to show a cross-section of the evening and party dresses which encapsulate the diversity of the Caroline Castigliano brand. In this year’s collection, we have short dresses that are perfect for a party as well as slightly more formal occasions, such as Ascot, Henley or a family or friend’s wedding.
The collection also includes structured, biased and soft floaty gowns. I love designing evening wear; it is really expanding my creativity, and the red carpet glamour look is just fascinating right now.” Caroline adds: “My ethos is to design for women that love the style and appreciate beautiful fabrics and quality workmanship. My gowns are simplistic, stylish and luxurious.
In 2011/12 my entire inspiration was to continue developing a relaxed glamour collection, a sensual and glamorous look with a casual feel about it.” The 2011/12 collection is available exclusively at Caroline Castigliano boutiques.
