A little while ago we enjoyed a magical evening with flower fairies, a unicorn and mystical creatures at a secret garden party at Hunton Park Hotel in Kings Langley, north Watford.
The party launched the hotel’s new Garden Marquee, a gorgeous new part of the venue that is now one of the largest event spaces within 20 miles of central London.
We were welcomed with a unicorn on our arrival as woodland creatures scampered about us with whimsical abandon. Flower fairies, a tree stilt walker and a fawn, as well as the Hedgemen all set the mysterious scene as we entered into a magical world.
Decorated in different themes, we saw how the venue could be used for Christmas, team building and meetings as well as our favourite, weddings! Each area had different canapés and delicious bites to eat, and we thoroughly enjoyed the traditional Christmas dinner bites with brussel leaf and cranberries in the Christmas area, as well as the gorgeous mini fish and chips, sushi, crab, avocado and gazpacho and scallops with black pudding in the other themed areas. These were delightfully served alongside themed cocktails – always a favourite for us – and we sampled them all!
The Garden Marquee is a really lovely space. It can accommodate up to 500 guests for a seated banquet and 700 guests theatre style and has a unique curved structure, one of only five of its kind in Europe. It is beautifully decorated with a suspended hardwood floor, elegant pleated ivory lining on the walls, an ivory LED star cloth ceiling canopy and 14 twinkling chandeliers. Sitting in 22 acres of landscaped gardens, Hunton Park is a gorgeous venue, and the addition of this Garden Marquee makes the place even more special.
