Rudby Hall celebrates 100th wedding

Set in ten acres of gorgeous grounds in North Yorkshire, Rudby Hall is a beautiful historic country home. It recently celebrated its 100th wedding since opening in 2014, and we think this Georgian mansion definitely has some 5 Star Sparkle.

Built-in 1838 for the daughter of King Willian IV, Lady Amelia Cary and her husband the 10th Viscount Falkland, this royal residence overlooks the North York Moors and boasts 13 luxurious bedrooms. Since the first wedding celebration back in 2014, Rudby Hall has built a reputation as an exclusive use luxury venue for weddings, events and private hire, winning national accolades and a host of high profile guests, including Chris Evans, Natalie Lowe and Liam Gallagher.  In addition to one hundred weddings, the privately-owned home has also hosted more than 60 private parties and events.

Its latest wedding saw Emma and Steven taking centre stage to celebrate their special day.

After a ceremony at All Saint’s Church in Hutton Rudby, the couple and their friends and family headed to Rudby Hall where the team had built a bespoke celebration for the happy couple.

University event agent Emma wore a Grecian inspired Justin Alexander A-line bridal-gown with a detailed bodice of diamonds and beading, whilst Steven, who is stationed at Colchester Garrison as a Sergeant in the Armed Forces, wore his number one uniform.

“This weekend was a dream come true for us both; every moment of the wedding was exactly how we envisioned it and we couldn’t be happier to be husband and wife,” said Emma.

The couple got engaged on December 14^th 2016 whilst in Iceland on holiday after dating for more than two years.
