Brigid and Ian’s beautiful Bahamian wedding
Summer seems like a distant memory at the moment in the UK, so when our friends at Pearl Island Bahamas sent us this beautiful wedding it made us dream of sunny days and sandy beaches again.
Brigid and Ian chose The Cove Eleuthera as their gorgeous venue for the big day and with a shimmering sea, azure sky and white beach, they celebrated outside under the sun and stars in true style.
The bride
Brigid chose a spectacular lace fit and flare gown with a stunning illusion back and a layered tulle skirt with a hint of blush. Her Badgley Mischka peep toes sparkled with beautiful jewels, complimenting the blush hue of the dress. A relaxed, tousled hair style and a veil positioned at the back of her head made for a simple, chic look and completed the outfit perfectly.
The groom
Ian’s sharp blue suit and crisp white shirt were a fabulous combination. And with shoes to match, he really did stand out against the white florals and pale decor. An outdoor wedding brings natural colours, so Ian’s choice of outfit made a striking impact.
The girls
In pink, blush and rose gold tones, the bridesmaids’ mix and match dresses were perfectly un-coordinated. All full length, they suited each girl’s individual style and made a stunning display when the friends stood together.
The guys
The groomsmen’s suits were a shade darker and more restrained than the groom’s. Letting Ian stand out, they still matched the theme – girls in pink, boys in blue!
The flowers
Outdoor weddings have so much natural beauty to offer, a vivid or bold flower colour can be to much, Ian and Brigid chose gorgeous subtle blush colours alongside whites, but made sure there were lots of blooms! Roses are the most versatile and iconic wedding flower and they used them to their full potential.
The ceremony
Under a pretty arbour right on the seafront, Brigid and Ian said their vows. With flickering candles and soft chiffon floating in the breeze, the atmosphere was truly romantic. Chairs, petals and decor was kept white so the couple remained the centre of attention and the beauty of the natural surroundings could be shown off.
The celebration
The al fresco wedding continued under strings of sparkling lights. Clean white linens kept the palette fresh and hints of blush picked up the colour theme. Gold accents added some decadence to the party as the light faded and the party went on all night!
A gorgeous day and a stunning couple! We adore the calm and subtle colour palette and relaxed yet luxury beach vibe. And what a fabulous location to create the first memories as a married couple to last a happy lifetime.
