Embellishments, sequins and lace are all exquisite ways to make your wedding dress a truly individual piece, but I also adore a simple, modern minimal dress, as long as it’s done well. Minimal dresses can contain just as much sophistication and glamour as the most embellished dress, and Andrea Hawkes demonstrates just that. Her Reflection collection is full of simple, clean silhouettes with low backs, lace sleeves and silk. Here are my 5 Star favourite five. You can find the full collection here.
With pockets and a thigh split, this dress is sleek and chic, with a touch of its own character. I love the open back that leads to the perfect soft train.
With a sweetheart strapless bodice and flowing skirt, this one is a gorgeous combination. I love the elegance of the structured bodice with a touch of texture, against the freedom of the skirt.
Otto’s daring spaghetti strap back is the main feature of this simple silk sheath dress. With sweet buttons leading to the cute train, this dress is stunning in its simplicity.
Lace sleeves are a gorgeous contrast to the open back, giving the perfect balance of fabric against skin. I love the traditional look of the front, that has a few surprises thrown in on the lace bodice, sleeves and open back.
Another spaghetti strap open back, but this time, married with an illusion front panel that sits elegantly over a deep V neckline. The double straps add a little interest, leading down to the skirt and small but sweet train.
A gorgeous collection of minimal, but beautiful luxury wedding gowns. Find the full collection here, and have a peek at some more of our favourite luxury wedding dress collections here.
