Celebrating her 25th anniversary this year, Phillipa Lepley is recognised globally for creating bespoke dresses of distinction and uncompromising quality.
Phillipa uses the most luxurious fabrics, exquisite embellishments and outstanding body minimising corsetry that has been developed and finessed to leading levels over the last 25 years. Her collections consist of sophisticated, quality dresses which flatter the individual, to stand the test of time.
Phillipa Lepley 2015 CollectionAs is the case with all of her collections, Phillipa’s took inspiration from her current collection from her surroundings and from the many women she meets from day to day. She travels regularly to France and Italy for inspiration and scours boutiques and factories to find the finest materials. The duchess satin, for example, comes from Lake Como and is believed to be dipped into the lake in order to set the silk. Quality must be second to none.
Phillipa is passionate about exquisite embellishments, and this is clearly seen throughout all her collections. The ‘‘Baby Olivia Pearl Beaded Hanbury’ dress, for example, in the current collection has 30,000 pearls which have been hand-beaded on to it. She and her specialist team of ‘petites mains’ work using traditional French techniques.
Phillipa’s focus on ‘OCDetail’ means that every dress in her collection has to be perfect on the inside as well as out. For example, hems are expertly hidden within the pattern of the material. Many dresses feature signature minimising corsets which sit below the fabric too, ensuring the perfect fit for every bride-to-be.
Phillipa welcomes brides for their initial appointment to see her latest collection, where she oversees the fitting and production. Phillipa understands that the entire process is more than creating a dress for one day, but creating a memory to last a lifetime.
