This beautiful outdoor Italian wedding is another one from Leonardo Tornabene at Ballon Rouge. Leonardo is an Italian photographer based in Turn and Catania, but he travels across Italy to capture gorgeous days like this one.
Garden weddings always have that wonderfully relaxed vibe, and this one is no different. From the hay bales to the hand made gazebo under which Nathalie and Jacob said their vows, the day’s beauty was only enhanced by the surroundings.
This day was just full of family and friends. Nathalie got ready surrounded by her girls, choosing a simple layered sheath dress with a long veil and a navy blue waistband, perfectly matching Jake’s suit, which he chose to wear with a crisp, open collared white shirt.
Forgoing a traditional bouquet, Nathalie chose a wonderful bunch of olive branches, the fresh leaves blending perfectly with the surroundings. As a nod to the traditional, she wore a circlet of white roses around her wrist instead.
The couple wed on top of a picturesque hill, surrounded by olive trees, rocky slopes and wild greenery. With the sun peeking over the hill, they said their vows under a vintage fabric gazebo, supported at each corner by friends. Guests nestled amongst the trees as Nathalie and Jake were wed, before descending to a lively party and a proper celebration.
With a live acoustic band, there was dancing all evening, with guests being given their own little tambourine to join in with the music, before they sat down to eat. Under a midnight blue sky, to match their colour theme(!), strings of sparkling fairy lights lit the courtyard where they ate, and the couple relaxed with their friends on long banqueting tables under lush leafy trees.
Outdoor weddings lend themselves to a natural theme, but this couple truly embraced that, with foliage decorating the wooden tables and minimal décor. This is also a really great way to host a low-impact wedding, reducing waste and using natural materials.
What a gorgeously happy day full of family, music, dancing and love. A beautiful Italian celebration.
