If you did not know already White Gallery London will return on the 19-21 May 2013 to play host to a list of over 60 of the industry’s most prestigious designers from the UK and overseas. The inspirational international bridal design fair will showcase the most influential bridal wear and accessories from the world’s leading designers in a stunning central London location.

Making their White Gallery London début are Nicola Anne, Ivory & Co Bridalwear, Watters Couture, Daisi Daisi and HT Headwear with confirmed New Talents including Emily Jean, Nymphi and Love Yu.

Roadkill Couture will display their controversial but highly acclaimed collection of bespoke garments and accessories created out of the pelts, feathers and bones of animals. Celebrating the exquisite design of nature, Roadkill Couture take animals that have been accidentally killed on our roads, have died of natural causes or have been killed and eaten as food to create exquisite high-end pieces of design.

Top Designers WOW at the White Gallery London 2011

5 Star Weddings was so excited to see Stewart Parvin, Ian Stuart, Alan Hannah and Matthew Williamson 2012 collections at the prestigious White Gallery today. The world’s most exclusive wedding wear retailers and influential press had the opportunity to see the very best in bridal design and we were thrilled to be at the show.

Stewart Parvin

The first show of the day was Stewart Parvin. The Royal Couturier introduced us to his covetable gowns with beautiful princess-line skirts and waist-crinching ruching the perfect contours. While traditional bridal shapes such as fishtail, A line, column were given a twist, Ivory was the predominant colour for 2012 and important fabrics including ribbon lace, georgette, guipure, pink and dark chocolate brown, emerald green silk ribbon trimmings with crystals adorned bodices and necklines.

I met Stewart after the show and I asked him if he had the pleasure of designing any of the Royal wedding outfits, he said he most recently made the Queens outfit for her latest visit to Ireland.

Ian Stuart

Best known for his rare combination of natural theatrical flair and technical craft, couture-trained, Ian Stuart is celebrated as one the of the bridal world’s most creative and innovative designers. Ian Stuart’s shows are always a awe-inspiring and White Gallery was no exception. Ian Stuart continued to dazzle his vast international audience of fans with a variety of silhouettes and shapes in silk taffeta, silk tulle, silk organza each featuring unique embroideries and decorative motifts.

This time his collection was more the glamorous era of the Hollywood musical scene. We loved the way he embraces femininity by enhancing curves and showing them off to their best advantage.

Alan Hannah

Marguette Hannah has been creating beautiful gowns for the Alan Hannah label for 21 years. Alan Hannah’s Catwalk show had a romantic escapism theme, we saw signature fluid slim line gowns, plunging structured necklines and pretty beaded and diamante embellishments. Her new collection had a 1920’s feel with voluminous tulle and organza skirts nipped in at the waist.

Matthew Williamson

Matthew Williamson has achieved international recognition for his exquisite feminine designs. The last show of the day was this acclaimed fashion designer whose first bridal wear collection offered signature styles from his stunning ready to wear bridal gowns. Long and short corset column gowns give a lean yet structured silhouette, softened with an artfully overlay of soft ivory tulle. Hand sewn ivory feathers across the tulle creates an enchanting ethereal effect. Jewel embedded mink and rabbit fur cropped shrugs completes the luxurious look.

British Designers shine at White Gallery London

Amanda Wakeley, David Fielden, Ian Stuart, Matthew Williamson and Stewart Parvin are among the top UK fashion names showcasing their 2012 bridal collections at White Gallery London 2011.

The world’s most exclusive wedding wear retailers and the influential press will once again have the opportunity to see the very best in bridal design at this elegant three-day trade event held on 22-24 May 2011 in Battersea Park.

Amanda Wakeley Sposa will be presenting a supremely luxurious range of dresses, injecting fresh new shapes and contemporary, light fabrics. Cord embroidery is a dynamic and youthful embellishment on the bodice of a satin gown. A parachute hem gives a fresh twist to the traditional train. Gunmetal chain detail trims an empire line georgette dress, making an exceptional statement. David Fielden will be showcasing his 25 signature gowns – structured yet soft, romantic and floaty in slinky satins; cut-out work and soft, fuller skirts with embellished bodices will be key features. ‘White Gallery London is an event that was very much on our radar last year and one we felt very necessary to partake in for 2011.

The show is ideal for the David Fielden brand as it encompasses what we stand for high-end luxury, style and glamour. Ian Stuart will be showing a selection of classic elegant gowns. Full skirted dresses meet asymmetric tiered styles, presenting innovative updates on period styles. Matthew Williamson will be launching the full bridal collection showcased for the first time ever in a glamorous catwalk show at White Gallery London. Fong Ee, a spokesperson for the designer, said: ‘Matthew Williamson Bridal is a natural extension of the mainline eveningwear; the pieces are characterised by a soft and feminine silhouette in richly-embellished luxurious fabrics. Elements of the designer’s signature style, fine embroidery and intricate beadwork, are central to the look. Stewart Parvin will be presenting pretty embellishments and flowing light fabrics with fluid lines.

I have been reading about Monique Lhuillier’s success in high-end bridal design into a thriving ready-to-wear collection worn on the red carpet by Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez, and Angelina Jolie.
