A fresh pink palette in the Bahamas
Call us old fashioned, but we’re a sucker for a classic romantic pink wedding. When our friends at Pearl Island Bahamas sent us this styled shoot we simply swooned! The elegant gold touches, the flickering candles, the soft roses… it’s just a beautiful, inspirational shoot. See for yourselves!
The florals
Soft white mixed with elegant blush pink and fresh greenery make such a romantic combination. Hydrangeas, roses and lilies create a bold display without being over powering; the greenery softens the striking blooms and makes for a fresh, vibrant creation.
The bouquet itself sticks to roses – you really can’t go wrong with a bouquet of fresh cut roses, a perfect romantic choice, pick fragranced blooms to create fragrant memories.
The table
Crisp white linen is always a winner. You can embellish and accessorise however you like. Here they’ve kept everything really simple – sparkling plain glassware, sweet gold trimmed chargers matching the gold flecked crockery and matching cutlery. Pink and gold are best friends, so throw in some single pink roses as place markers and add some white candles glowing gold and you’ve got the perfect table!
The lighting
Candles. The perfect lighting for a romantic day. Flickering candles create a soft lighting effect so your guests can see each other without having to throw on the harsh overhead lights. Candles create atmosphere and sweet little tea lights and votives dotted about make the ideal ambience. You can even hang some in holders to lift the light – we love this idea.
The stationery
The pink petals mixed with greenery against white is the perfect choice to bring the whole look together. Drawing inspiration from the florals and matching the tables perfectly, the stationery provides such a complimentary touch to the look. It’s really important that you think about the whole look and feel so your menus and place settings match your theme or palette, and these are just ideal.
We adore this look – romantic, elegant, fresh and light. It’s so versatile that it would be equally suited to a beach wedding or a country house celebration. There’s so much scope to put your own stamp on it as well – add fairy lights, macaron favours and maybe some floating fabric to accessorise further.
