The collection features new designs in a variety of shapes, from delicately embellished ethereal gowns to structured full skirt and lace styles. The versatile Avalia dress, inspired by 50’s couture, is a shorter style in sumptuous silk with an emphasized waist and a detachable long skirt, while the Grecian inspired draped Laelia Dress has delicate three-dimensional flower appliqués on the bodice for an exquisite touch.

Embellishments throughout are intricate with hand-applied crystals, stitched embroidery and hand folded flower and ribbon detailing. The collection also features voluminous tulle appliqué skirts, modern structured strapless options, and elongated body skimming silhouettes in luxurious silks and fine French laces, all with the same timeless, feminine and ethereal nature that is the Temperley handwriting.

Temperley Bridal also offers accessories including decadent head pieces and brooches, embellished sashes for the waist and wrists and an expansion of shrug and veil categories in beautiful materials such as rabbit fur and embellished French laces. In addition, each dress in the Beatrice 2012 collection has a delicate blue ‘forget-me-not’ flower embroidery on the inside for the bride’s ‘Something Blue’.

Blue Bridalwear was established in 1991 by designer Angela Pitcher Dowdell and the gowns feature signature clean lines and uncluttered decorative details.

Faces are framed by cute Peter Pan or elegant roll collars; shoulders are covered with gorgeous Guipure Lace or delightfully embellished organza; hemlines sit prettily just below the knee or fall to the floor and into a train. Silhouettes are full or circular skirted, princess line or long and slim flaring from the knee; all flatter the waistline. The fabrics used include crisp Silk Zibelines and softer Silk Dupions contrasted with exquisitely embellished French Lace, crunchy Guipure Lace and sheer Silk Organza.

A stunning selection of jacquards, brocades, and prints sit beautifully alongside the traditional silks and taffetas he already uses. And remaining true to his love of colour, Ian has opted for a deliciously sweet palette, in chalky and glazed tons of sugary pastels and café crèmes.

Texture is also featured heavily in this collection. Ian has been developing new fabric treatments that he has used to for both subtle and dramatic effect, as well as using his masterful draping skills to create intricate textures and clever detailing.
