The Power of Love collection from Caroline Castigliano is inspired by 50s glamour. Clean lines and modern touches transform classic ballgowns to create elegant, sophisticated and contemporary designs. With luxurious lace, pockets galore and sleek silks, these gowns are the perfect fusion of modern and traditional. I’ve chosen my 5 Star favourite five – you can find the full collection on Caroline Castigliano’s website.
Sakura
With sweet spaghetti straps and a delicate v neckline, I love the lace overlay on the bodice that creeps onto the soft layered skirt. The waistband ties it all together in this elegant, romantic design.

Celia
Celia is chic and refined. A perfect smooth silhouette, the design is classic, with a hint of glamour at the waistband and a kick out train.

Santa Barbara
I adore the straps on this one, with leaves stretching up and over the shoulders, matching the corset-type bodice and trailing down onto the whisper-light skirt. Like a secret garden, this dress holds an air of innocent mystery. And is that a pocket I spy…?!

Society Girl
With a bateau neckline and classic cut from the front, this design keeps it all for the back! Encrusted with sparkling beading, the low back scatters more clusters below the waistband, following the tiny buttons onto the skirt.

Madeira
An adorable lace yoke and small capped sleeves set the tone for this gown, as it sweeps indulgently down with an all-over lace and detailed edging. The icing on the cake is the satin waistband – a theme for this collection!

This is such a classic collection. Find the rest of the gowns from this collection here, and head over to our luxury wedding dresses page for more inspiration.
