Each llama has its very own name and personality, and can take part in your wedding day and wedding day photos! Isn’t this the best way to make your wedding unique?

The stunning country farm, which is family-owned, can host large weddings and ceremonies on their stunning lawns, with sweeping views of the Malvern Hills or down to their iridescent lake.

Your ceremony can take place in their stunning, recently erected, glass orangery, in and amongst their well kept green lawns, with the scent of English country roses.

Our Bride and Groom

Showcasing a stunning piece by Bowen Dryden for the ceremony, with a lace bodice and delicate accessories by Amore Headwear and shoes by Di Hassel, our bride added a modern twist to this traditional backdrop, proving a contemporary can fit in any location.

The delicate drop floral earrings and accessories by Amore Headwear perfectly matched the flowers surrounding our bride, Alex, in the garden. 

In our evening wedding dress by Milla London, the lace shoes by Di Hassel were the perfect combination, completely mirroring and complementing the delicate cloud of white blossom of this gown.

With hair and makeup by the talented Elena, we were able to create the perfect look to match each element of the day. Elena, created a softer style for the ceremony, complementing the pastels of the wedding bouquet, with a stronger look to match the Milla evening dress.

Our groom, with a suit from Marc Darcy Suits and shoes by Loakes, was the perfect representation of a country gentleman. The brown hues complement the original stonework of the orangery.

The Plants and Flowers

In keeping with the garden backdrop, we brought the garden into the orangery for the wedding ceremony. Lining the stone wall with evergreen plants and trees, as well as pampas grass and moss, provided by the Fairview Gardener. By using potted plants in this way, we were able to ensure that the ceremony decor not only reflected the surrounding nature but also was another way to reduce the environmental footprint. 

The bridal bouquet was an array of stunning pastel colours, handcrafted by Harebell and Bee. Shanna from Harebell and Bee specialises in British locally grown flowers, an important factor for any couple that is environmentally conscious; a trend that is consistently even more important for couples in today’s wedding industry.

Harebell and Bee are also known for their dried flowers, and Shanna expertly crafted two delicate dried flower balls. These bursts of dried flowers, which hung from iron shepherd’s crooks were flawless and the perfect way to create an impactful display for Wedding Breakfast.

The Wedding Breakfast & Wedding Cake

When in a stunning English country garden, there is no better way to celebrate your wedding than with the most quintessentially British meal, an afternoon tea. The Briery Hill team displayed a stunning area of homemade sandwiches and cakes, and each mouthful was a little taste of heaven. 

To crown, this delectable feast was the centrepiece by Cake of the Day. This three-piece wonder continued with the countryside theme, with stunning flowers and leaves adding layers of colour and texture to the cake. The delicate flowers were exquisitely crafted, and there is no doubt this was a perfect cake!

Snow white linen and limewash chivari chairs were provided by Gloucester Event Hire.

A Hidden Secret

Just behind Briery Hill Farm, for the more adventurous couples, is a magical fern wood. Any couple looking for that extra special something for their wedding day photos will be delighted.

With the setting sun, the evening light in this space was expertly captured (along with all the photography on for this shoot) by the talented eye of Emma Jane from Emma Jane Photography. 

We were able to end this shoot in the rays of the setting sun, framing what had been a perfect day.

Fighting for rights

Never one to shy away from causes she believes in, Westwood has lent her name to a variety of causes over the years. From human rights to climate change, she has used her catwalk as a platform to demonstrate her support of campaign groups.

The Burning Punk Barge

Off the catwalk, Westwood’s most recent notable demonstration was a protest to encourage the use of renewable energy. Together with her son, founder of Agent Provocateur, Joseph Corré, she burned £5million of punk rock memorabilia on a barge in the River Thames.

• 5 Star Weddings: How did you start Flo & Percy?

Flo & Percy: I started Flo & Percy in 2006 after identifying a gap in the market for quality one-off original vintage bridal accessories. We were the first UK designer to use vintage jewellery in our designs and started the trend. Today the bespoke one-off piece is a small part of our business as we offer 5 collections of made to order designs which are extremely popular.

• 5 Star Weddings: What influences you and your designs?

Flo & Percy: I am extremely influenced by bridal dress designs. We have to try and predict trends in order to create the perfect accessory to compliment them. I am inspired by mainstream fashion and an avid Vogue reader. I look carefully at embellishments used by top designers and think how similar designs can be created for the bride to wear in her hair. I also take a lot of inspiration from vintage jewellery and have several books that I reference regularly.

Flo & Percy: Think very carefully about the style of your dress, does it echo a certain era in time, does it have soft or hard lines and what are the embellishments like? I do try and tell my brides to keep things simple but stunning. The full parure of jewellery is often not needed when just a statement headpiece is enough. We offer a no obligation full styling service. Brides send us a picture of their dress and proposed hairstyle and we suggest the perfect accessory to match.

• 5 Star Weddings: What do you see as the next big trend in accessories?

Flo & Percy: We are always looking forward and trying to predict the next trend. Taking our lead from popular styles in wedding dresses, ruffles and dresses with soft fabrics are huge at the moment and we are designing the perfect headpieces to match. I also predict the boho look becoming more popular, our brides are loving our forehead style pieces we already make.

Flo & Percy: We recently made Una Healy from The Saturdays one of our Wilderness forehead bands. I loved Una’s festival/midsummer nights dream look. Our piece totally suited her style and look.

Flo & Percy: We have been voted best hair accessory designer two years running by Perfect Wedding Magazine. We are extremely proud of this since it was voted for by the public. With their love of all things vintage Perfect Events inspired by the 1920’s Art Deco period showcases everything a bride needs to make her wedding day feel and look absolutely amazing, collaborating with leading suppliers and choosing the impressive Connaught Hotel as the perfect setting.

To create the first bridal look we chose the beautiful full length lace gown, ‘Lorna’ by legendary fashion designer Bruce Oldfield teamed with Swarovski butterfly embellished shoes by luxury shoe designer Aruna Seth, who along with Bruce Oldfield has had their creations adorned by Hollywood Actresses and Royalty including Pippa Middleton and Princess Diana.

The makeup – soft peachy lips and gold eyes by Alison Cameron with the hair – long elegant curls brushed to one side, finished with an exquisite hair brooch and jewellery to complete the look.

The second look consisting of bling fabulous ‘Kiki’ shoes by Aruna Seth, the ‘Buckingham’ dress from Stephanie Allin’s 2013 evening wear collection, which is perfect for brides who wish to adorn a change of attire for the evening reception or for the alternative bride to wear as her wedding dress!

The look was completed by plum lips and gold dusky brown eyes, an up do of pinned curls and finger waves synonymous with the 1920’s, a pretty floral hair brooch and drop earrings.

The impeccably decorated ever so delicious cakes and treats created by the amazing Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium and fabulous florals by Wild About ooze sophistication.

An epitome of graceful splendour, each element selected by Perfect Events combine wonderfully, culminating in a truly enchanting display of vintage inspired elegance, perfectly captured by Bandele Zuberi and filmed by Deneemotion.
