With a grand and impressive foyer blending traditional Grade 2 listed features and modern art in the form of a giant shiny egg shaped sculpture, it feels cool whilst reassuringly comforting. Credit: Nikolas Koenig<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Weddings at The London Edition<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">We were met with a glass of prosecco and set off for the wedding showcase where we saw the different rooms that they host wedding receptions in. It\u2019s got an industrial modern feel, with wood panels and exposed brick, and can be transformed from banquet to nightclub for your celebrations. This space is members only, and is dark, cool and intimate, with a soundtrack of the funkiest soul and blues. Credit: Nicolas Koenig<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h3>Our room<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">After saying hi to some of our supplier friends and visiting others, we headed to our room along calming chic grey corridors. Our room was panelled in light wood, a contrast to the heavy dark wood of the lift we had travelled up in! The space was contemporary, modern and so peaceful. It all reflects the calmness of the hotel, encouraging you to stay awhile, get cosy and escape the busy world outside. The walls are filled \u2013 a gallery of paintings and pictures below a plaster frieze incredible intricate ceiling. Again, the fusion of modern design sits beautifully with traditional paintings and architecture. We started with a signature cocktail \u2013 Sharp \u2013 which listed Martini Bitter, grapefruit and chilli shrub in its ingredients, and was sublime. Then on to the food! Focaccia with peas and broad beans, gnocchi for my main and the most divine peanut and chocolate ganache with toasted peanut mousse. It was just like an incredible homemade Snickers bar! It comes at a cool \u00a312,000 per night, but would be a wonderful place to get ready for a wedding, with its own kitchen, lounge, study and rooftop terrace which would be a lovely spot for wedding photos.
