Boodles<\/a> story begins over 200 years ago in Liverpool where the brand was founded as Boodle and Dunthorne. Later amalgamated with the Wainwright family business, it has been a family run company ever since, boasting six gloriously dazzling generations of family management.<\/p>\nEarly days<\/h3>\n Boodles\u2019 early years saw them as a silversmith and watchmaker, creating trophies for competitions, including the stunning solid gold trophy, presented to the winner of the Grand National.<\/p>\nBut through the years Boodles became better known for creating beautiful bespoke jewellery, launching its luxury collections into the world to the delight of the rich and famous.<\/p>\nA place in history<\/h3>\n In 2010, Boodles was invited to display their Raindance Ring in the permanent collection at the V&A Museum in London, representing an example of an iconic British jewellery design.<\/p>\nOne ring…<\/h3>\n Mounted into a simple platinum setting, an internally flawless 31 carat diamond was acquired in 2010 – the finest the company had ever owned. This gorgeous gem was snapped up and now graces the finger of\u2026 well, we couldn\u2019t possibly say\u2026<\/p>\nCare to dance?<\/h3>\n In pursuit of perfection, Boodles’ skilled designers and craftsmen create beautiful collections, and in 2015, they collaborated with the Royal Ballet to develop Pas De Deux. This expressive collection takes inspiration from the performances, backstage costume rooms and rarely seen archives, to show an abstract interpretation that moves away from the more traditional ballet associations. Shimmering diamonds take centre stage with cascading pink stones that dance in the light.<\/p>\nA beautiful collaboration<\/h3>\n Boodle\u2019s most recent collection was created with luxury interiors brand de Gournay, a partnership of two British powerhouses of design. This gorgeous butterfly themed jewellery, \u2018Papillon by Boodles and de Gournay\u2019, features the finest quality rare yellow and cognac diamonds. In addition, the pretty winged creatures have been incorporated into a bespoke, hand painted silk de Gournay wallpaper complete with metal leaf and jewel encrusted motifs.<\/p>\nAt home on the red carpet<\/h3>\n A friend of the red carpet, Boodles is the natural choice of celebrities, especially those proud to wear home-grown British creations.<\/p>\nA favourite of iconic British actress, Emma Thompson, she hosted the opening of their flagship Bond Street store in 2015.<\/p>\nThe face of Boodles<\/h3>\n International model Sophie Dahl has become the face of Boodles and in her honour, a new collection launched in 2016. \u2018Sophie\u2019 is deliciously feminine and effortlessly charming, featuring rose gold, platinum, mother of pearl and, of course, those famous sparkling Boodles diamonds, set in timelessly gorgeous heart shapes.<\/p>\nBoodles has become an iconic British institution, and now holds five stores in London, three stores in the North West of England and one in Dublin. Exuding style, class and sophisticated elegance, each one of their creations embodies the epitome of timeless chic luxury.<\/p>\n
