(&#8230;or as they say, Bachelorettes)<\/div>\n<div>As a first timer in New York City, simply stepping out of JFK airport and into a yellow cab was enough to have me squealing inside. As the cab driver whisked us en route through Queens to Manhattan, I realised I was here at last, to experience gritty and hopefully, also stylish, cool New York.\u00a0 My mission to find the best of the best for our discerning hens was underway&#8230;<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_18675\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18675\" style=\"width: 676px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/new-york-city.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-18675\" title=\"New York City\" src=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/new-york-city.jpg\" alt=\"New York Weddings\" width=\"676\" height=\"449\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-18675\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18675\" title=\"New York City\" src=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/new-york-city.jpg\" alt=\"New York Weddings\" width=\"676\" height=\"449\" \/><\/noscript><\/a> New York City<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong>Stay at&#8230;.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>Our home for three nights was The Gansevoort in Manhattan&#8217;s trendy Meatpacking district.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The hotel promises a luxury urban resort with rooftop pool parties and views over the Hudson&#8230;and it didn&#8217;t disappoint.\u00a0 Our corner suite on the 10th floor provided ample space for two sharing, with pretty riverside vistas on one side and views of the Meatpacking district on the other.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>All rooms are contemporary in design with warm soft furnishings and orchid plants to make you feel relaxed and at home.\u00a0 A cosy lounge area with flat screen tv, iPod dock and a selection of Gansevoort Cd&#8217;s had me settled sooner than I thought but what I really, really loved (and am missing) about this hotel&#8230;was its luxurious beds.\u00a0 These plush feather beds with goose down pillows and 400 thread count Egyptian cotton linens almost meant I missed out on New York for sleeping!
