Gareth proposed on 24th December 2009, he nipped to the supermarket to get a few last minute nibbles for the evening buffet (a family tradition) and unbeknownst to me, he went to the florist and bought a dozen gorgeous red roses.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19344\" title=\"Wedding Photographers Manchester\" src=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/GL-1071.jpg\" alt=\"Wedding Photographers Manchester\" width=\"600\" height=\"439\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19344\" title=\"Wedding Photographers Manchester\" src=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/GL-1071.jpg\" alt=\"Wedding Photographers Manchester\" width=\"600\" height=\"439\" \/><\/noscript>The ring was hidden inside the bouquet in the silver rose that carried my wedding ring (he had hidden the ring and the silver rose in the house for a few weeks before proposing). I was amazed at how beautiful the roses were and didn&#8217;t see the silver ring carrier in there at first until Gareth said &#8216;There&#8217;s a special one in there&#8217;, as I pulled it out and opened it he proposed. He had asked my Dad in November and the whole family had kept it a secret!
