Set in the beautiful Berkshire countryside it was very easy to find just 90 minutes from London and was clearly signposted. I had not visited a spa for a whole day before so I did not know what to expect other than facials and a Jacuzzi. We were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist who gave us a map and explained all the facilities Nirvana had to offer. Once we got our bath robe and towels we headed off to change in to our swim suits.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What we loved\u2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The tranquil Nirvana Room Tepidarium is an essential place to visit. Its subdued lighting and heated ceramic lounges make it the perfect environment in which to take a little nap, simply rest, or read. I had a little nap as I relaxed on a heated lounge chair listening to the water trickle from the beautiful \u00a0fountain.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Heavenly Skin Spa Experience\" src=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Heavenly-Skin-Spa-Experience.jpg\" alt=\"Heavenly Skin Spa Experience\" width=\"728\" height=\"584\" \/><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Heavenly Skin Spa Experience\" src=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Heavenly-Skin-Spa-Experience.jpg\" alt=\"Heavenly Skin Spa Experience\" width=\"728\" height=\"584\" \/><\/noscript><\/p>\n<p>The \u00a0healthy food served in the Garden Caf\u00e9 was really fantastic. The menu included light snacks, salad bar buffet and a la carte dining. For lunch I had couscous with grilled haloumi cheese accompanied by chicpeas in a mint dressing. It was so delicious I asked the chef \u00a0for the dressing recipe. We had a lovely coffee and walnut cake for afternoon tea \u00a0to give us a pick- me- up after all that relaxing. \u00a0 Before our last treatment we sipped on a refreshing glass of Champagne.<\/p>\n<p>Next was a trip to The Aroma Steam Room which opens up \u00a0your nasal passage and clears your airways. \u00a0This was followed by a Monsoon Shower.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Must do Treatments \u2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The Celestial Flotation Treatment:\u00a0<\/strong>Nirvana Spa is the only place in the UK where you can float on spring fed water containing over 100 tons of Dead Sea Salt, with 21 skin enhancing minerals.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_21175\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-21175\" style=\"width: 500px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21175\" title=\"Luxury Spa Weekends\" src=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Pool1.jpg\" alt=\"Hen weekends\" width=\"500\" height=\"470\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-21175\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><noscript><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-21175\" title=\"Luxury Spa Weekends\" src=\"http:\/\/5starweddingdirectory.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/Pool1.jpg\" alt=\"Hen weekends\" width=\"500\" height=\"470\" \/><\/noscript> Dead Sea Flotation Pool<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We began with a 15 minute induction in the smaller ocean pool, where a therapist took us through the journey of flotation. The therapist explained the principals of this unique treatment and gave us our first opportunity to float. I was a bit apprehensive about stepping into the\u00a0warm turquoise mineral water, but as soon as I\u00a0got\u00a0in,\u00a0it\u00a0felt wonderful.<\/p>\n<p>Next we were led through to the stunning Celestial Pool.\u00a0\u00a0It was beautiful!\u00a0I loved the low lighting and the gentle current that moved us around the pool,\u00a0whilst we floated under the star lit ceiling. The four of us had to remain silent so we could gain the full benefit,\u00a0\u00a0fully relax and enjoy the treatment.<\/p>\n<p>After\u00a040 minutes\u00a0which seemed just like 5,\u00a0\u00a0I had an invigorating shower with\u00a0complementary\u00a0products, my favourite was the enriching Celestial clarity conditioning mineral hair and scalp mud,\u00a0which\u00a0was so good I had to purchase one of my own.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Celestial Clarity Aqua Balance Spa Facial<\/strong>: A\u00a0cleansing\u00a0treatment which begins with a zesty face wash followed by\u00a0\u00a0a\u00a0purifying exfoliation,\u00a0left my skin feeling radiant and smooth.
