She is Sir Paul\u2019s third wife after Lynda McCartney died in 1998 and his split from Heather Mills in 2008.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both Nancy and Sir Paul wore <strong>outfits by Paul&#8217;s\u00a0daughter, Stella McCartney<\/strong>. Nancy was every bit the sophisticated London bride in an understated ivory long sleeve dress with pearl buttoned front. Her small bouquet of roses was quintessentially English with hues of pink, cream and white. The look was finished simply with an ivory flower in her hair which was worn down. Sir Paul was dressed in a dark blue suit, white shirt and contemporary pale blue tie. The subtle<strong> mauve flowers<\/strong> in his lapel were a nod to his bride\u2019s bouquet.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">After the ceremony, guests were invited back to the couple\u2019s north London home which was said to have been transformed into a fairytale setting o<strong>f pink flowers and fairy lights illuminating the dining area.<\/strong> Friends and family were served a vegetarian feast of salad, lasagne, <strong>goats cheese polenta and dumplings followed by passion fruit meringue tarts and mixed berries.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Drinks included the <strong>Dumangin Grande Reserve champagne<\/strong>. After dinner, Sir Paul gave a speech which he half read and half sang lyrics to a song he had written for his new wife, they then both took to the dancefloor for their first dance, a recording of the song Paul and Nancy. <strong>DJ Mark Ronson<\/strong> also entertained guests through to the early hours with classic Beatle&#8217;s songs. The couple emerged the following day &#8211; both with sunglasses on \u2013 giving testament to the good time that was had.<br \/>\nSir Paul and Nancy are expected to fly to New York on Wednesday for a blessing at a synagogue, and then to the Hamptons for a second gathering, before a <strong>honeymoon in Antigua.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Legendary Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney, has tied the knot with Nancy Shevell at a London ceremony.
