Today’s real wedding was sent in by the Boston Wedding Photographer<\/a>, Wendell Fernandes, the wedding was set in Rhode Island and was inspired by garden flowers.<\/p>\n

Over To The Bride:<\/p>\n

Rodrigo and I met in 2000 when I was 14 and he was 15. We met through a mutual friend at a birthday party, started dating about a month after and we have been together ever since!<\/p>\n

He was\/is my first and only love and we have basically grown together from our teenage years to adulthood. The fact that our personalities are different I think makes us so \u00a0compatible; it allows us to learn from each other and help each other constantly. In all the areas that I am lacking he completes me, and vice versa.<\/p>\n

What a dream come true our wedding was! We had been waiting for this day for so long and these pictures capture how thrilled we were to finally tie the knot. There\u2019s just so much emotion portrayed in this album.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Wedding Dress:<\/p>\n

The idea was: casual-chic so I was looking for a simple beachy dress. I fell in love with my Lazaro gown and thought all the beading went well with the ocean\/beach setting. Rodrigo put a lot of thought into his outfit as well. It took some time to find his Hugo Boss suit, and we had to make sure it was just the right level of elegance since he chose not to wear a tie.<\/p>\n

Venue\/Location:<\/p>\n

We were supposed to get married last summer but couldn\u2019t find exactly what we had in mind in terms of the place so we decided to wait longer until we found the right spot. It was a challenge, but we wouldn\u2019t settle for anything less than what we both wanted. The fact that we had a back yard type of wedding also meant there were no packaged deals, so I had to do a lot of the planning myself.<\/p>\n

The good thing about that of course is that my wedding was anything but \u201ccookie cutter\u201d. I got to put all the best vendors I found together with no restrictions whatsoever. The ceremony and reception all took place at the same beautiful spot in Saunderstown, RI. We had an amazing, unobstructed view of the Pell Bridge and Jamestown Bridge and everything took place at the beautiful back yard of a vacation home overlooking Narraganset Bay.<\/p>\n

Color Palate\/Flowers and Cake:<\/p>\n

Our shared love for the ocean and our similar taste for simplicity and elegance inspired all of the wedding decoration, from the flowers down to the cake and favors.\u00a0Although it was a beach\/ocean wedding, the whole decoration was \u201cgarden flowers\u201d theme.<\/p>\n

I didn\u2019t want to go over the top with any beach decor, since the place was already so beautiful on its own. I stayed away from theme colors also. All linens were white and there were small touches of coral and silver along with a mix of colors for the garden flowers.<\/p>\n

Favors:<\/p>\n

For favors we picked mini adirondack chairs that served as picture frames for the women, and personalized shot cups for the men. These also served as place card holders.\u00a0There were little fans we placed on the chairs during the ceremony that also served as the wedding program.<\/p>\n

I got a fun menu printed for the open bar and printed out straw flags with cute little messages on them. These were all last minute little projects I did to spruce things up. Overall the whole wedding was very hands on for. We picked all the little details from chairs, to food, to specialty drinks and we even put the ceremony script together ourselves.<\/p>\n
