Fancy getting married 1,000ft (305m) high in the sky? Well, you soon can as the Shangri-La In The Shard is due to open 6th May.<\/p>\n

The new Shangri-La at The Shard will open on the 6th May 2014 , with the luxury hotel boasting unmatched views of London from the city\u2019s most striking skyscraper.<\/p>\n

As the tallest hotel in Western Europe and the first high-rise hotel in London, the Shangri – La occupies levels 34 to 52 of the 72-storey Shard.<\/p>\n

\"Weddings

Guests will be escorted in a high-speed elevator from the hotel\u2019s dedicated entrance on St. Thomas Street to the sky lobby on level 35.<\/p>\n

The unique venue on level 34 will host bespoke weddings, civil ceremonies and receptions for 20 to 160 guests.<\/p>\n

\"Shangri-La

The grand staircase and double-height windows behind it showcase exquisite views over London, providing a great backdrop for your wedding photographs.<\/p>\n

The 202 rooms and suites all feature marble-clad bathrooms with heated floors, separate bathtubs and showers, Aqua di Parma toiletries and mirrors with integrated television screens.<\/p>\n

\"Shangri-La

Although the hotel will open in May, three signature suites will still be under development until September.<\/p>\n

That includes the flagship Shangri-La Suite, with a sweeping 180-degree view of London taking in the Palace of Westminster, Big Ben, the Tower of London and River Thames.<\/p>\n
