Gustav started his hairdressing career in South Africa in 2003, and after 8 exciting years he made the move to London and joined Michael Van Clarke.
There he quickly established himself as the 'King of Bridal Hair' joining the Bridal Team and with them he works on shoots, fashion shows, events and Brides. He is also an Ambassador for Michaels product range '3''' More Inches'.
He is a firm favourite of leading publications and the hairdresser of choice for the Editor of Brides magazine, Gustav has been the lead hairdresser on over 30 cover and lifestyle shoots. He has also worked on and directed campaign shoots for leading bridal designers including Sassi Holford, Caroline Castigliano, Suzanne Neville and Jenny Packham, as well as fashion shows for Oscar de la Renta and Brides the Show. Gustav has a flamboyant, fun personality and has developed relationships with the leading wedding teams at many of the top 5 star hotels including The Rosewood, The Mandarin Oriental and The Savoy. Making him and the Bridal Team their first choice for their Brides. Having looked after over 500 Brides around the world, Gustav's enthusiasm, dedication and excitement at being part of a Brides day is infectious. He is a great listener, and has a keen eye for detail which allows him to visualise the day and create the Brides timeless look.
