BMA House is one of the most premium wedding venues in central London. With a prestigious reputation as the home of the British Medical Association and its sought-after Bloomsbury postcode, couples get to say ‘I do’ in true elegance and style.
City Wedding Venue - BMA House packs in over 100 years of history, being designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens in 1911 before later being taken over by the BMA in 1925. It’s a gorgeous Grade II listed building, set to the leafy backdrop of Tavistock Square, giving it a uniquely magical and intimate feeling that’s hard to find anywhere else.
But just because it feels intimate, doesn’t mean this venue can’t host a crowd. The Great Hall is the largest licensed space at the venue and has room to welcome up to 200 guests for a beautiful ceremony or 300 for a reception.
There are three further licensed spaces at this London wedding venue, including the Prince’s Room, Paget Room and Snow Room. Each offers its own unique charms and features, ensuring every couple has a variety to choose from for their special day.
The Prince’s Room is the smallest of the four spaces and ideal for celebrations with your nearest and dearest. With a capacity of up to 60, this room has a truly regal feel with features like a grand chandelier, plenty of ornate gold detailing and striking Corinthian columns. Large windows and high ceilings also make the space feel wonderfully bright and open.
The Paget Room is larger with the capacity to comfortably fit up to 150 guests. It has direct access to the elegant Courtyard - one of BMA House’s two outdoor spaces – and boasts impressive original features, including Spanish mahogany panelling and tiling from the original association’s headquarters. Large arched, floor-to-ceiling windows look out over the courtyard and make this a truly romantic choice for couples-to-be.
Neighbouring the Paget Room is the Snow Room. This beautiful space is always a popular choice for weddings; its blank canvas layout makes it a dream to customise, and its capacity for up to 105 guests makes it easy to enjoy your special day with all those who matter the most. It’s versatile too, so no matter how you’re looking to design your day, the Snow Room will almost certainly be able to fit the brief.
BMA House is also one of a just handful of venues in central London that offers two outdoor spaces. The Courtyard and the Garden can both be incorporated into your day in a way that suits you. Whether it’s having a wedding reception in the sunny courtyard or an intimate photoshoot in the lush botanical garden, being able to offer that kind of variety to couples is incredibly rare.
To make planning your wedding at BMA House as stress-free as possible, offer a selection of wedding packages that include everything you might want on the big day (or even more, should you wish!). All packages include exclusive hire of the venue for the day, a dedicated wedding planner who will be present on the day and a menu tasting for the couple.
Various levels of catering are also included within each package, from a two-course wedding breakfast to all-out canapes and a full hot evening buffet. Catering is provided by the award-winning CH&Co, with menus designed to please every guest and cater for all dietary requirements.
