Despite difficulties and unforeseen events, but also a lot of passion and the desire to create something unique, what started as a dream in itself became a wonderful job opportunity for me. On my big day, the villa on the lake, the flowers, the reception dinner, everything was perfect, except...the wedding cake! The caterer got the colours wrong, which is unacceptable for a perfectionist like me. And it was my disappointment that convinced me to enter the world of wedding planning. In 2000,

I officially became a wedding planner, a profession that was seen as a luxury at the time, as it was still relegated to the world of foreign events, and I worked mainly with Italian clients.

Then a director from an American multinational company came along and changed my life for good: it was the end of July 2004. He told me he wanted to get married in a villa at the beginning of September, but unfortunately, everything was already booked and, with August just around the corner, it was practically impossible to organise the perfect wedding in a month and eighteen days.

But I didn't give up, I felt it would be my big breakthrough... Through a friend, I obtained permission to use one of the most beautiful villas on Lake Como, Villa Sòla Cabiati, which at the time was not yet used for wedding receptions.

It was a turbulent month, I jumped through hoops to overcome the logistical difficulties that often arose when dealing with a wonderful area surrounded by nature, but all my efforts paid off: in the end, the wedding was a huge success and opened the doors to the foreign public, with whom I am most familiar today.

My fondest memory of that day, which I still treasure, is at the end of the ceremony when the groom approached me, took my hand and placed it on his heart and said: "You will always be my friend". It was the exact moment that I clearly understood that wedding planning would be my future.

Since then, I have dedicated myself to fulfilling every wish of my brides, so that they can enjoy the happiest day of their lives surrounded by their loved ones and without any worries. This passion, which has become my profession, is always growing and I also dedicate it to my students as a certified teacher for AWP, the Italian Wedding Planner Association.
