Papillon means butterfly in French. The Butterfly is a symbol of change, joy and love. In China, it symbolizes conjugal bliss and joy. For Early Christians, it represented the soul itself. North American Indians call upon the butterfly for guidance in change, color, and happiness.

And of course, Butterfly in English and Papillon in French are both used to describe that feeling in our stomachs on the big day! All these images came together for me when Papillon Weddings was created.
