Wickham House, a luxurious late 18th Century Georgian Manor House located just outside Newbury in Berkshire is, for the first time, opening its doors to weddings and private events and is set to become one of the most sought-after venues in the UK.

An exclusive-use, ultra-luxurious venue for weddings and special occasions, it is set within 52-acres of idyllic rural countryside and features a 18th Century Manor House, charming church, newly built oak-framed barn, magnificent architecturally designed gardens and an outdoor Pavillion and pool. The property harmoniously fuses old world country charm, five-star facilities and a welcoming environment.

Wickham House presents several options for the wedding ceremony, all within the venue’s grounds. For religious ceremonies the property boasts its own beautifully quaint church located just a few steps from the house and seating up to 200. Civil ceremonies of up to 140 guests can be accommodated within the newly built Barn and 190 outdoors within the stunning Walled Garden, designed by renowned architect Robin Templar-Williams.

Wedding receptions will be held within a privately hired bespoke marquee positioned on a picturesque plot of land, flanked by a grand avenue of oak trees. Overlooking the Downs on one side and the main façade of Wickham House on the other, it provides the perfect backdrop for the celebration and photography. Marquees are available to hire through Wickham House’s preferred partner, Covered Occasions.

Prior to the wedding day, the Barn at Wickham House provides the perfect space for intimate rehearsal dinners, complete with a large open fire, fully serviced bar and cloakroom facilities. The space is also available as a bridal changing suite.

Exquisite dining is at the heart of the Wickham House experience. Working in partnership with Real Cooking, one of Berkshire’s most highly regarded caterers, every element of the catering will be delivered with flawless finesse and exceptional attention to detail.

Luxurious accommodation facilities are found just three minutes commute from Wickham House at Sir Peter Michael’s five-star hotel The Vineyard. Alternatively, the sister-hotel Donnington Valley is 10 minutes further and together they provide 160 rooms of a very high standard.
