The Abbazia San Faustino

Magical Wedding Venue
We stayed at Abazzia San Faustino as guests at a wedding. This beautiful old stone Abbey is nestled in rural Umbria, about 20 minutes drive from Umbertide. Rooms were filled with character ...ours even had the bell tower! Hosts were amazing, especially Andrea - nothing was too much trouble. And the chef was superb, producing delicious food for all of us several times over the weekend, even a birthday cake! The wedding was superb, with delicious food, ambience and excellent waiting staff. The local Mayor performed the ceremony in Italian, which added an extra special charm. Having a group of people gathered together in this place to celebrate a romantic wedding was an inspired choice and I would recommend this venue to anyone wanting to get married in Italy.

Superb Venue, Superb Staff
I was lucky enough to visit Abbazia Sa Faustino for a wedding and can say it was the perfect venue for a wedding. The staff were tripping over their own feet to help and ensure the day ran smoothly, the food was great, the views spectacular and our room was lovely. Contingencies were in place should the rains prevail and there was nothing but smiles on everyone's faces both before and after the wedding. There is a nearby town (30mins drive) Gubbio which is spectacular and a great day out for those adventurers or a swimming pool to relax around should you have spare time. This is a remote and relaxing place, so a hire car is essential. You will not be disappointed if you choose this as a weekend getaway or wedding venue. :)
