Ferdinando Borrelli, who works under the name Ferdinand, is a stylist, tailor and designer who says every creation is born in his own atelier. He trained at the State Institute of Art, began at eighteen in bridal make-up, then designed costumes for dancers and spent some twelve years making ball gowns before opening the atelier in 2010 for brides alone.

He dresses the whole bride, not the gown alone. Ferdinand advises on the ideal dress and the right accessories, and does the hair and make-up himself, so one hand finishes the look.

Ferdinand Atelier is a couture bridal house in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio, at the foot of Vesuvius near Naples, where every gown is cut, embroidered and fitted by hand in the designer's own workroom.

In Milan he received a couture award from Mario Boselli, honorary president of the Camera Nazionale della Moda, presented alongside Adriana di Lello of Elle Italia and Myra Postolache of Vogue Talent.
