Serena Beach Resort & Spa is a Swahili-style beach resort on Shanzu Beach, with ceremonies and receptions on its beachfront lawns and an in-house wedding planner.
The resort is set on the white sands of Shanzu Beach on Mombasa's north coast, 13 kilometres from the city centre. Its single-storey buildings take their cue from a 13th-century Swahili village, with winding pathways, whitewashed walls, carved wooden doors and tropical gardens. Lantern-lit pathways and Persian-inspired gardens add to the setting.
Weddings by the Indian Ocean
Ceremonies and receptions can take place at indoor and outdoor venues, including intimate beach ceremonies and the beachfront lawns, which hold up to 200 guests. A dedicated in-house wedding planner handles venue styling, menus, entertainment and photography, and the resort offers customisable wedding packages and special group rates for guests who stay.
