Grotta Giusti Thermal Spa Resort is a nineteenth-century villa in the Valdinievole hills with 64 rooms and suites, gardens and a banquet hall for up to 120 guests, set above a natural thermal cave.
The resort occupies a nineteenth-century neoclassical villa built by the Tuscan poet and patriot Giuseppe Giusti. It stands between Pistoia and Montecatini Terme in a park of old trees and gardens, with the Apennine foothills all around. It belongs to Italian Hospitality Collection and the Autograph Collection by Marriott.
The cave beneath the house
A natural thermal cave extends more than 200 metres into the hillside below the villa. Its three chambers carry the names of Dante's realms, and the air inside holds a steady temperature of around 34 degrees Celsius.
