Ceremonies in the Eden Room, Library and Cellar

A townhouse hotel in a restored Edwardian mansion in Reading, where weddings stay under one roof, from the ceremony and reception to the wedding night.

Ceremonies take place in the Eden Room, the Library or the Cellar. The Eden Room was the original Berkshire County Council Chamber. Its walls are covered with hand painted flowers, it keeps its original fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling Georgian windows bring in natural daylight. The Library has large windows facing Forbury Square and a fireplace. The Cellar is contemporary in design, discreet and well appointed, with a boardroom style table. The Library and the Cellar are the more intimate settings.

Receptions

Drinks, the evening and the Secret Garden

The Library connects with the Lobby Room, where guests can begin the celebration with conversation and cocktails before dinner. The Reading Room Restaurant & Bar can be hired exclusively for the evening, with a minimum spend that covers an evening buffet or snacks, pre-ordered wines, cocktails, beers or soft drinks. Couples choose between a pre-paid bar tab and a cash bar.
