Blair Castle is a regal venue that offers an inspiring range of rooms, opulent backdrops, romantic interiors and the most spectacular of gardens in which to celebrate your special day.
Our incredible ballroom, with open fires, can comfortably seat up to 220 people and yet is still welcoming and intimate enough to seat 60. With the secret door opening from our Ballroom into our Banvie hall a modern glass room with stunning views over the gardens it really is the perfect mix of modern versus traditional grandeur.
For a smaller intimate wedding of up to 50 people, we can offer the Dining room based on the first floor of the castle, this stunning room offers views over the surrounding countryside and creates an ambience of intimacy and splendour. Looking for something different? Then we can also offer ceremonies on our West Lawn or in our RHS partner garden, Hercules, which is a 9-acre walled garden. You could also host your ceremony in our St Brides Kirk, which is a ruined Kirk set a short stroll away from the Castle.
The extensive grounds offer the perfect backdrop for your wedding photography with landscaped areas, walled gardens, the tree-lined driveway and bridges over rivers to explore. The estate also has a selection of varied accommodation to suit all the families. 1/2/3 bedroom woodland lodges set at the foot of the driveway of the Castle and 2/3 bedroom Caravan Holiday Homes and family camping pods in the Blair Castle Caravan Park. The Estate also boasts stunning hunting lodges with between 2 – 11 bedrooms so plenty of room for family and friends.
We provide a fully bespoke wedding service, so each event is unique. We have a panel of 3 highly recommended caterers who will tailor menus to your taste and budget. We have hosted hog roasts in tepees in the gardens to opulent 5-course tasting menus with matching wines. As a couple, you have the flexibility to choose what suits your tastes and budgets at Blair Castle.
If you are looking for a smaller intimate wedding venue then look no further, in 2021 we have teamed up with Ballintaggart a fantastic local caterer and we are launching Clachan by Ballintaggart. What waits for you is our stunning Farmhouse and Cottage sleeping up to 12 people and our newly renovated barn events space. It’s the perfect spot for an intimate wedding with your nearest and dearest.
Situated just of the A9 in the hamlet of Calvine, near the House of Bruar, it is easily accessed and has vistas far-reaching over Highland Perthshire. Ballintaggart our partner caterer brings a seasonal ingredient-led menu, they don’t believe in sample menus and will create a completely bespoke menu for each event so it's tailored to your taste and budget.
