At the tip of the untouched Roseland peninsula in Cornwall, in the picturesque village of St. Mawes, with stunning views across the sea, Hotel Tresanton is one of the West country's most famous hotels.
Built in the 1940s as a yachtsman’s club, the hotel was bought and restored in 1997 by famous interior designer and hotelier Olga Polizzi. The style is an eclectic blend of old and modern, reviving a seaside retreat's casual but elegant atmosphere. All 31 rooms, some with their terrace, have been individually furnished with antiques and Cornish art, and overlooking Falmouth Bay.
The hotel has a marriage licence, but if you prefer to get married in church, the 14th-century church of St Just in Roseland is nearby and is one of the most beautiful in England.
Accommodation, dining and use of Tresanton's classic 50ft yacht, Pinuccia ( only from May to September ), can all be included. We can look after tiny or large weddings when the hotel is taken over exclusively. This is possible between October and March.
Rock Cottage, composed of a master Suite, a two-bedroom suite and a spacious garden room, is a great party suite for the bridesmaids or close friends and family. Honeymooners favour Junior Suites 1 and 29.
The Vean, a luxury 5 star Georgian Rectory, which nestles in the wooded Porthluney Valley on the Caerhays Estate in Cornwall, is the perfect venue for a very private, peaceful and unforgettable wedding.
