Frutt Mountain Resort

I just spent a week at Frutt Mountain Resort, and it was pretty much perfect. The setting is stunning, with beautiful hikes all around, and if you want to go further (or higher), you can rent e-bikes directly from the hotel. The lake next door is a dream — we swam and rented a paddleboard one afternoon, which was a highlight. That said, even if you’re not feeling too active, it’s still the ideal place to soak up the views, breathe the fresh air, and relax at the spa. We booked a lake-view room, and it was absolutely worth it. The spa staff were exceptionally kind. We tried a couple's massage, foot reflexology, and a classic facial — my personal favourites were the last two, especially since you end the treatment with tea while looking out over the lake. Food-wise, all three restaurants were good. My favourite was the steakhouse for its more intimate, romantic atmosphere, while the Italian restaurant had a more relaxed, family feel. Finally, a special mention to the hotel staff — everyone was helpful and accommodating, and the team at the Mountain Lodge reception in particular made us feel very welcome.
