Swinton Park have a licence for civil ceremonies and can also host ceremonies for renewal of vows. Weddings can be booked as a Non-Exclusive event, using one or more reception rooms with accommodation taken as needed, or as an Exclusive Use event with private use the whole castle and all 31 bedrooms. A wide range of function rooms are available for a ceremony, wedding breakfast or celebration, offering a high level of flexibility for individual requirements.

Swinton Park are happy to host weddings both opulent and intimate. There are a range of options for smaller events, including a private island on one of the lakes in the Parkland, complete with Georgian summerhouse – perfect for an intimate dinner. The island is also ideally suited to an alfresco picnic or barbecue, in total privacy, surrounded by woodland and birdsong.

Deerhouse Weddings

Experience the delights of an alfresco wedding celebration in the restored period Deerhouse in the parkland, just a short distance from the hotel. The Deerhouse is perfect for those seeking somewhere truly out of the ordinary, for either a daytime wedding breakfast or an evening barbecue celebration. By day, enjoy the parkland setting with ancient trees, wide skies and views over the castle and Home Lake. By night, enjoy the magic and romance of a candle-lit setting, with flaming torches to light the way and glowing braziers to ward off the evening chill.
