Set amongst 376 acres of National Trust Parklands, the House is approached by a spectacular driveway. The iconic Fountain of Love gives visitors a foretaste of the grandeur. The interior of the House does not disappoint the sense of anticipation created by this stately drive and imposing façade. Guests are treated like royalty – the attention to detail and personalised service are the hallmarks of this renowned country house hotel. Standing upon chalk cliffs that gave the estate its name, the House commands panoramic views over the beautiful Berkshire countryside.
With years of experience creating bespoke weddings, Cliveden’s Special Events Team work closely with you to ensure your wedding day is perfect. There are ample choices of rooms in which to hold your civil ceremony and reception. The French Dining Room is a Rococo masterpiece and a fantastic setting to enjoy fine cuisine and faultless hospitality, which has acclaimed numerous awards and accolades.
The Terrace Dining Room is a spacious south-facing room filled with radiant sunlight offering panoramic views over the Terrace Parterre and River Thames beyond.
Lord Astor’s private wine cellar, with its brick walls, mighty pillars and vaulted ceiling, makes an unusual and atmospheric reception room. The Boudoir, once Lady Astor’s sitting room, is romantically decorated and has large windows overlooking the Parterre and lawn.
For the ultimate wedding, exclusive use of this most romantic hotel does set the stage for an occasion of extraordinary elegance, luxury and style. Exclusive use includes 38 bedrooms, Spring Cottage, sitting rooms and the restaurant, and the use of the Pavilion Spa and leisure facilities. At Cliveden, we can host up to 130 guests for a wedding ceremony, reception, and wedding breakfast and up to 180 guests for an evening party on an exclusive use basis year-round. If you require a larger venue, we can accommodate up to 230 seated guests by renting a marquee for exclusive use weddings with 131 to 250 guests at Cliveden.
