Duke Photography, trading as Duke Images, is a luxury wedding and engagement photography studio in Southern California led by Duke Khodaverdian, an international wedding photographer for over twenty years. The studio covers Los Angeles, Pasadena and Orange County, with New York and destination weddings, in a photojournalistic style shaped by editorial fashion work.
Duke Photography, which trades as Duke Images, is a luxury wedding and engagement photography studio in Southern California, led by founder and principal photographer Duke Khodaverdian. He has photographed weddings internationally for more than twenty years and trained in editorial fashion photography before turning to weddings.
Duke Photography
The approach is photojournalistic with a fashion photographer's attention to light and composition. Duke uses additional lighting and scouts locations for the strongest backdrop, and describes himself as hands-on, discreet and quick to react, with images that capture the unplanned moments of a day as well as the portraits.
He works with a team of second photographers and production artists. Bronson Pate, who has been with the studio for over a decade and has more than twenty years of photojournalism and event experience, is lead photographer and has covered high-profile and celebrity weddings.

Enquiry and consultation
Couples make contact through the studio and meet for a consultation, which is by appointment only.

The studio also photographs engagements, which gives couples an unhurried first session with the photographer before the wedding.

Duke scouts for the strongest locations on the day and plans additional lighting so portraits hold up in ballrooms, gardens and at sunset.

Duke or his lead photographer covers the day with a team of second photographers, balancing posed portraits with candid, photojournalistic moments.
