Ceremonies indoors and out

A moated castle on two islands near Maidstone in Kent, with a tower, a manor house and a barn on the same estate for weddings.

Indoor ceremonies take place in the Ceremony Room in the castle, in the Long Gallery of the Maiden's Tower and in the wood panelled ceremony room at Battel Hall. Outdoors, couples can marry on the Pavilion Lawn or on Castle Island, in the Maiden's Tower's private garden or in Battel Hall's timber framed garden pagoda. Indoor and outdoor settings suit both larger and more intimate ceremonies, and the moat lake surrounds the castle. The Fairfax Barn is not a ceremony venue.

Receptions

Receptions in castle, tower, manor and barn

In the castle, the wedding breakfast is held in the Salon and the evening reception in the 1930s Drawing Rooms. In the Maiden's Tower the Long Gallery serves for the ceremony and the Tudor Hall holds the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. Battel Hall is a secluded manor house in its own gardens and woodland, with a Drawing Room and Library for the wedding breakfast.

Getting there

Leeds Castle is in Broomfield, near Maidstone in Kent, about 40 miles from central London. The M20 at junction 8 is five minutes from the estate, London Gatwick is about 45 minutes by road and Heathrow about 90 minutes.
