Pentillie Castle is a privately owned castle on an estate above the River Tamar, hired for one wedding at a time, with eleven bedrooms, reception rooms for 60 and a marquee lawn for larger parties.
Pentillie Castle stands above the River Tamar on the border of Cornwall and Devon, on a privately owned estate of woodland, gardens and parkland. It is a family-run house, grand in name but relaxed in manner, and it is reserved for a single wedding party at a time, from arrival to departure.
Ceremonies for every tradition
The estate offers a real choice of settings: a celebrant-led ceremony under the wisteria, vows at the Bathing Hut beside the river, a chuppah, a Nikah or a hand-tying beneath the trees. Couples of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome, and the day follows no set formula.
