Welcome

A resort named for the tree of life

A boutique resort above the Petanu River near Ubud, where ceremonies are held on a deck beside a waterfall or in a thatched chapel overlooking rice fields and jungle.

Kayon is the tree of life in Balinese tradition, and its shape appears in the architecture, the swimming pool, the bathtubs and the artworks. The resort follows the contours of the Ubud hills above the Petanu River, built in local stone, wood and bamboo, with scenes from the Ramayana in paintings and carvings. A 50-metre stone relief tells the love story of Rama and Shinta.

The setting

Two settings for a ceremony

The Canyon Jetty is a wooden deck hanging along the riverside, with a waterfall behind it and the jungle around. The Puspaka Chapel stands beside the yoga pavilion with views over rice fields and jungle, and is built around an antique Balinese royal carriage. Both ceremonies are led by an English-speaking celebrant and are non-legal.
